Manchester is now recognised internationally as a world-class sporting city with a vast pedigree of world class sporting events, sports facilities, sports clubs and many sporting legends.
The Sports Awards Dinner is now in its sixth year and is an event that celebrates and gives thanks for the commitment, hard work and achievements of all clubs, coaches, volunteers, schools and athletes involved in community sport in Manchester. The winners of the Manchester Sports Awards will go on to represent the borough of Manchester at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards later in the year.
This year’s Dinner will take place at the Hilton Hotel on Saturday, 11th October and the evening will consist of a 3-course dinner and drinks. Hosted and presented by Katherine Merry and Iwan Thomas, along with an array of international sporting athletes and Manchester athletes who attended the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, who, along with the sponsors, will present to the award winners of the nine sports awards categories.
